JOB DESCRIPTION
Located on Europe's largest estuary, the Port of Bordeaux enjoys a privileged position on the Atlantic seaboard and at the heart of a major metropolis. With its infrastructure spread over 7 specialized terminals, the GPMB is a key player in the regional economy of New Aquitaine.

At the end of a two-month training period, you will be taken on board the dredger Anita Conti as a "Lieutenant (M/F)". Reporting to the Commanding Officer, you will be responsible for :
MISSIONS :
- From watch to bridge,
- Monitoring and improving dredging operations,
- Assist the captain and chief officer in the day-to-day management of the ship.
Depending on planning requirements and the number of replacements needed, you may also be taken on board as a Second Mechanic (M/F).
Reporting to the Chief Mechanic, you will be responsible for..:
- Organize, allocate and monitor machine work,
- Supervise implementation of procedures (emergency, critical, routine),
- Monitor spare parts inventories and control supplies,
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Depending on your prerogatives, you may be called upon to carry out replacements on board other vessels fitted out by the Port of Bordeaux.
You will carry out your tasks with the constant aim of maximizing operating efficiency and improving safety during dredging operations.
Sailing on the Gironde estuary aboard the Anita Conti, 7×7 (7 days of work followed by 7 days of rest), Tuesday to Tuesday.

PROFILE :
As a multi-skilled officer with a DESMM diploma, you must hold at least the Brevet de Chef de Quart de Navire de Mer. The Second Engineer certificate is a plus.
You have a first experience of navigation and have a taste and a proven aptitude for maneuvering.
You have a sense of responsibility, leadership qualities and a taste for teamwork. A real force for innovation, you demonstrate rigor and autonomy in carrying out the work entrusted to you.
Fluency in English is a plus.
