SHIP REPAIR

Bordeaux Port is home to refit and ship-repair activities on the quayside or in the dry dock, within a modernized naval hub adapted to the needs of companies.

At Bassens or Bacalan, Bordeaux Port offers excellent safety and equipment protection conditions for all types of maintenance operations (mechanical, electrical or boiler work, careening...).

Thanks to its workshops, specialized in boiler making, mechanics, electricity, refit/attachment... and historical players in ship maintenance and repair, Bordeaux Port welcomes your projects and specific needs for a comprehensive service. All our welders are qualified.

WORKSHOPS

A recognized player in the competitive sector, Bordeaux Port supports and coordinates your ship maintenance and repair projects. Our workshops put their design capabilities and their lifting, transport and assembly resources at your service, to adapt to your project or any associated service.

The workshops are long-established players in the sector, and are supported by a design office equipped with 3D CAD tools, and a high-performance production facility. Teams of specialists (design office, draughtsmen, work planning, control, file follow-up, transport, handling) work hand in hand to offer you adapted and complementary local solutions in terms of ship maintenance and repair.

WINTERING

Bordeaux Port offers a secure wintering area in the heart of the city, close to restaurants, bars, cinemas, hotels... and close to the main right/left bank roads.

Around the Bassins à flot and its naval hub, Bordeaux Port has several dedicated sites offering all the necessary amenities (security, bunkering, water, electricity, etc.) and a 20,000 m² stretch of water.

RECYCLING

Bordeaux Port boasts a 240-meter dry dock, a benchmark infrastructure on the Atlantic coast, at the heart of an essential maritime route.

This form and its embankments are part of a set of ICPE- and ISPS-classified facilities that meet both the regulatory and operational requirements of operators in the dismantling/upgrading sectors.

Bordeaux Port is one of only 18 ship dismantling facilities in the world approved by the European Union. This distinction recognizes the excellence of the Bordeaux Port recycling center's achievements, skills, procedures and equipment.
