Sustainable Development Department Manager (M/F)
JOB DESCRIPTION

The Bordeaux Port Authority (GPMB) is looking for a Sustainable Development Department Manager. Reporting to the Director of the Strategy and Planning Department, you will be responsible for the development and management of facilities and the environment at the Port of Bordeaux.
The Sustainable Development Department is made up of around 20 employees working in 2 departments:
・Site Management Department
・Environment and Geomatics Department
Your role is to define, build and manage the department's objectives, resources and actions (teams, investments, development, projects). You act as an interface between all the players within your scope (GPMB departments and services, State and local authorities, local authorities, associations, etc.).
MISSIONS :
In this context, you will carry out the following tasks:
General tasks :
・Lead staff and work in project mode with other GPMB directorates, departments or services.
・GPMB representation on bodies outside the GPMB (Parc Naturel Marin, SAGE estuaire, Commission de suivi des sites, ...) falling within the department's scope.
・Inclusion of the GPMB's issues in strategic territorial documents (PLU, SCOT, SAGE Estuaire, etc.).
・Implementation and monitoring of the preparation of port land for hosting economic or agri-environmental activities.
・Support for major project developers in their dealings with government departments and bodies involved in issuing administrative authorizations.
Environment, Geomatics :
・Management of environmental authorizations carried by the GPMB (Preparation, management of engineering firms, monitoring of management plans, monitoring of specific studies related to these authorizations).
・Monitoring of ICPE (Pôle Naval, Hangars) under GPMB operation.
・Management of the GPMB's waste plans (Management and monitoring of service provider(s) and internal referents).
・Specific environmental studies (air, water, carbon footprint, polluted sites and soils, etc.).
・Deployment and evolution of GIS for the whole GPMВ.
Site management and port land development :
・Urban land (particularly in Bordeaux).
・Industrial port land (economic activity zones behind port terminals).
・Agro-environmental land and DPFN (Agricultural and/or Natural Zones).
PROFILE :
You have a 5-year degree (Master's specialized in development, environment, energy or urban planning / general or specialized engineering diploma).
You have at least 5 years' proven experience in development and/or development project management. You have proven managerial skills.
You have the following key technical skills:
・Operational management of internal teams and projects
・Solid knowledge of regulatory procedures related to environmental and urban planning codes
・Solid technical and scientific knowledge of the environment
・Mastery of administrative and financial procedures
